Grab a stool and saddle up to the singing shenanigans of award-winning hand puppets during the 2006 Puppet Karaoke Shamrock Showdown at the M-Room on 15 W Girard Ave, March 16th at 9:30 PM, where audience participation not only includes the opportunity to storm the puppet stage and compete for cool karaoke prizes, but also a chance to share a drink with one of the puppet cast.
Attendees can expect a wild cast of puppet characters, such as ex-soda taste-tester Franz Furious, the amazing Fruitwa, the squealing, sleuthing Boxy Twins and the mysterious Professor Jiggery-Pokery, all performing pop hits in a nonstop show that mixes comedy cabaret with twisted puppet theatre and real honest karaoke. Show-goers can join in the fun by bringing a puppet for the competition or building one onsite in the provided EPCZ (Emergency Puppet Construction Zone). The event is moderated by Peek-a-Boo Cabaret Star David Cassanova and produced by local comedy troupe Waiting For Cable.
A mini puppet-bar will be available for attendees to share beverages with the show's often chatty foam and rubber cast.
