Series Overview
After the Scorpio zone had been cleared of all serious kaiju and seijin activity, Ultraman Scorpio was asked by Scorpio X35 to assist in another area. Earth was indentified as the most vulnerable target. Scorpio protested, claiming that Earth was not a critical enough location, yet the council insisted otherwise. They claimed that the Earth would be threatened in the near future, so Scorpio should be in position and ready.
Arriving on Earth before life has even begun evolving, Scorpio finds nothing of interest and the atmosphere uncomfortable. Rather than stay hidden on Earth, he decides to construct the Space Tomb on the Moon. This a crystalline lunar fortress where he can lie dormant until needed.
Once revived by a team of lunar explorers millions of years later. Scorpio rises from his tomb and begins his protection of Earth. He still finds the terran atmosphere uninviting and must return to the moon to rest and recharge after a battle.
Scorpio is initially not convinced of Earth's importance but learns through the course of the series that there is a distinct reason each and every alien race in the universe is intent on attacking it.
Scorpio reserves a certain distain for computers such as X35 and when he finds out that the ELC is building a global management computer system similar to X35, he takes the battle for Earth a little more personally.
